UniCredit Leasing is the number 1 in Europe

According to the latest statistics of Leaseurope, the European Leasing Association (www. leaseurope.org), UniCredit Leasing is the largest leasing provider in Europe.

According to the latest statistics of Leaseurope, the European Leasing Association (www. leaseurope.org), UniCredit Leasing is the largest leasing provider in Europe. In terms of new business volume, it ranks on the first place ahead of Lombard Business Finance (UK), Gruppo Banca Italease (Italy) and SG Equipment Finance (France).

 

In 2006, UniCredit Leasing achieved a new business volume of 13.2 billion euros, including the new production of Fineco Leasing and MCC, the two leasing entities of Capitalia (Italy). Capitalia is a member of UniCredit Group, having closed their merger on 1 October 2007.

UniCredit Leasing is a universal leasing provider with its core activities in the segments of vehicle, equipment and real estate leasing. It offers a variety of value-adding services such as insurance, construction management and fleet management. UniCredit Leasing has subsidiaries in 16 European countries and more than 2,500 employees. In Turkey, UniCredit Group is additionally active in leasing via Yapi Kredi Leasing.

The overall leasing activities of UniCredit Group are management-wise bundled in UniCredit Global Leasing S.p.A., a sub-holding of UniCredit Group located in Milan. The CEO of UniCredit Global Leasing S.p.A. is Regina Prehofer, member of the Management Board of Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA). The leasing activities in the CEE countries[1] are coordinated by UniCredit Global Leasing S.p.A. Vienna Branch which is headed by Alexander Schmidecker.

UniCredit Leasing aims at further strengthening its number 1 position on the European market by intensifying its cooperation with the banks of UniCredit Group and expanding its business in already existing markets with high growth potential (especially Russia, Ukraine) as well as entering new markets such as Kazakhstan.
